An insight to the trials and results at Towcester .. (See last post for link )
Also on Tuesday our Saffrons Champ has another trial, result can be seen late Tuesday night o:D |

That's ok for this trial if he's out again at the weekend. He'll find more on the day ;) |
Although last of three in that trial his time against the rest of the trialists on the day was very good....

No runners for us Friday 19th .. Although Mark has runners
But I might have a tip for us from another kennel (watch this space) ;) |
Champ not running Saturday but the 2 dogs he trialled against on Tuesday are :h?:

Towcester plans for Sunday afternoon racing
1 Attachment(s)
Towcester are hoping to race on Sunday afternoons from later this month – subject to planning permission writes Floyd Amphlett.
Racing manager Chris Page said: “As things stand, we need permission to begin racing before 7pm, but given a sympathetic hearing, we should be ready to go in a couple of weeks. “We will scrap Thursdays, which was never in our long term plans, but we needed to put them on to allow trainers to give their dogs a run. “The idea is, we will open for Sunday lunches with racing probably starting at around 3pm. “We are already up to 280 graded runners which will allow us to be more sparing with the opens. “Although we will continue to run them, we might not repeat last week’s idea of running three divisions of a sprint. “At least the opens have enabled us to qualify runners for staying races and I would be keen to run at least one graded stayer’s race per meeting almost immediately. “Ultimately, I would like at least three a night. I also want hurdle racing as soon as possible. “We have the Coventry hurdles but they needed alterations due to the width of the track. The Christmas delays have held us up but I am expecting them any day. “As at Walthamstow, they will be open to any trainer who has a hurdler. “Things are going really well. We had a trainers meeting last week. There were so many good ideas and enthusiasm. At the end of the meeting, there was a round of applause.” |
Let's hope the enthusiasm is still around when the novelty starts to wain (o)<

Jesus, you've never got a good word to say about anything :-C |
Is this the same Benny that was shouting for Allardyce to be sacked, that he was a clueless one dimensional manager that doesn't know how to play the West Ham way. Are all West Ham fans as bad as happy as you 8-P
|
Us Chelsea supporters are always happy.....o:D
We love Towcester and in fact we just "love life" in general.....8-P But i think the idea of Sunday afternoon dogs would be a decent idea there although i fear that some of the lesser trainers will leave before the end of this year due to the bigger ones always get first bite at things. Also i have noticed that on most weeks the same dogs are running which i hope will change very soon. I can see Towcester doing well now but im not to sure if by next winter thing might have changed a bit...:news: |

With all sectionals and race times a lot slower than a few weeks ago I wonder if Towcester are playing around with the track to counter the criticism of it being a first corner winning track.

Sunday (March 22nd) Sams ya man
SAMBUKA SAM (T3) to upset the Mark Wallis duo in the 3 49 Towcester :t: ... 1st .. 6/4 f :D
Mark Wallis has found another dog and race for his patron Lord Hesketh in the shape of the re-named Rufford Tom (T5). Mark also has another runner in the race, Swift Gust (T2) this one is a middle runner so we can expect trouble in running as he moves off at the bends. However, what ever the plan of this race could be for the Wallis camp, it's almost certain to be foiled by the Richard Yeates dog "Sambuka Sam".:brains: This full brother to Honest John was unlucky last race when beaten only a neck by the Mark Wallis/Lord Hesketh dog Poodle Star. On that day the Wallis dog had the run of the race while the others were involved in bumping at the first bend. Today will be Sambuka Sams day to turn over the Wallis plot :flyaway: (Also on the same card i'll be hoping our Saffrons Champ can have a clear round and a win would be nice :D |
The way I've read Champs race is T6 will lead him up but stay wide. He should lead T4 and hopefully get a clear run. T1,2 & 3 are inconsistent trappers so anything could happen. If there is trouble then Champ should be 2nd and could pick up T6 on the run in.
|
We told ya SAMBUKA SAM :t: ..
|
Tonys pup is in the last race on Friday night. At first glance it looks like it has a good chance :t:
|
I just looked at the race and i have to agree.....i think she does have...:t:
|
Champ's and following races were officially -60. After Roxsy's void race they must have watered the track, or it rained, but it was still -30. Surely this is dangerous for the dogs. Are they doing this for the bookies sake?
|
T6 broke a hock in Roxsy's race

At least Roxsy was ok .. |
